DESTRUCTIVE GALE : TWO SCHOONERS WRECKED.

LOSS OF LIFE. XEer Press "Association.) Auckland, last night. Hews by the Taviuni, which arrived tonight, statoß that another gale has occurred in the Paumotu Group. Much damage was done and three sohoonsrß lost.

One European has lost his life so far as is known. Harris, supercargo of one of the lost schooners, was dashed on the rocks and killed. A number of natives wore also lost. On arrival of the schooner Countess of of Banfurly at Baratonga.it was learnt that the boatswain was lost overboard on the trip from Auckland' to Baratonga. It is believed that he was washed overboard during the heavy weather.
