Prior to leaving I he addressed a large crowd of people on I the wharf, and concluded by asking God’s blessing upon the colony. Commissioner Nicol the General’s secretary, forwarded | the following cable to London to-day: II Booth’s New Zealand campaign has been | a great success, ono hundred and fifty-one persons professing conversion in Auckland and over six hundred during the 22 davs f he has been in New Zealand.” The General has delivered 18 speeches, six lectures, conducted four soldier meetings, and attonded 19 receptions since ho arrived in New Zealand.
