receiving such information from Admiral Roshdestvenßky. The Mikado has given a thousand sterling to the army branch of the Young Men’s Christian Association in recognition of the oponing of recreation and reading tents at the principal bases in Manchuria. The feeling in Japan is that Admiral Roßhdestvensky’s procedure is rapidly growing into deep resentment towards France.

The newspapers urge immediate aotion. One suggests an embargo on French merchantmen, pending Admiral Roshdeßtvensky’s final expulsion.
