TALES OF CANNIBALISM. By Telegraph—Preßs Association—Copyright Received 9.37 p.m., May 3. Sydney, May 3. News from the Solomons reports that tribal fighting has occurred in the gronp, attended by cannibalism. A naval encounter occurred between natives of Alla and natives of the neighboring Islands of San Christovae. The latter were victorious. When the steamer sailed the Alla natives had despatohed several war canoes across a hundred miles of sea between the islands to attack the foe. j.
