TROUBLE IN CRETE.
-FIGHTING TAKES PLACE,

In an encounter between fifty gendarmes and Boukolies, in the western district of Crete, three gendarmes were woqnded and one killed. Fourteen are missing. The police station was burnt. The tocsin has been sonnded and the neighbouring peasantry are taking to arms.
