Xt was dull and threatening daring the early part of the afternoon, and after the fifth race a thick drizzle set in. The attendance was only moderate., The totalisator investnasats amounted to L 7942, making a total of L 19.754 for the meeting, as against L 23,671 15s last year.; The racing was very interesting, the finish bstween Vladimir and Quarryman in the Autnmn Handicap being exciting. The backers of Machine Gun and Vladimir on the double machine received L6O 16s. 6d each. Theresults were : Paerawick Hurdle's—Tupara 1, Slow Tom 2, Rougoa 3. Magnificent and Roller also started.
