(A Wlbs BOARD. ?Per Press Association.) Nelson, last night. At the Tjand Board meeting an application was received for land abutting on Lake Eotoiti, but the Board refused the same, and resolved that around every lake in the province a strip of half a mijle should be reserved for scenic purposes. AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION. At the annual meeting of ,the Nelson •Agricultural'and Pastoral Association the financial position was shown to be strong, Mr W. Colman was elected President. THE .VOLUNTEERS. Volunteers are proceeding to camp near Motueka, some thirty-five miles from town. The local men were joined to day by thp West Coast aDd Marlborough men, The manoßuyres consist of an attack from the West .Coast road, and defence at Motueka river.
