NAPIER FRIVOLITY MINSTRELS.
I A special treat is in store for local J theatregoers on Saturday evening next, j when the Napier Frivolity Minstrels make I tboir bow at His Majesty’s Theatre. I Speaking of the company’s appearance at 1 Hastings on Wednesday last, the Hawke’s Bay Herald says “ The Frivolity MinI strels gave one of their papular entertainI rnents at the Princess Theatre, Hastings, I last evening, to one of the largest houses that has bean seen in tho theatre, even standing room being unobtainable. The programme was received with every mani- | festation of approval by tho large audienae. The local hits were well received, and every item of a long programme was encored. The corner men wore very happy in their jokes and business, and the songs ana sketches in tho second part wore well up I to the * Friv’s ’ standard. The selections I by the orchestra, numbering over 20 per- I formers, under the direction of Mr J. A. I Stevens, were certainly not the least I enjoyable items in a capital programme.” I The box plan will be opened at Mr Miller’s I on Thursday morning at 10.
