William Mooro, the lunatic who escaped from Avondale Asylum, was errested by Constable Law at Darling Creek. It seems that he landed on the coast near Cabbage Bay, where .he abandoned the boat in which he loft Auckland, and walked through the bush to Driving Creok. They thought he was asleep, but could not awaken him, and consequently told a passer-by, who found that the old man was dead. At the inquest held at Pukekohe death was certified as being due to heart disease, and a verdict was returned accordingly.
