SUPEEANNUATION SCHEME.

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night, A conference of delegates from the various departments of tho Civil Service was held at the Parliamentary Buildings last night to consider the question of a superannuation Bcheme for the service. A committee, consisting cf Sir E. Gibbß3 (chairman), Messrs J. W. Poynton, G. Allport, P. S. Hay, A. H. Holmes, and O. McMauaway, with Mr M. Fraser as secretary, was sot up to formulate the basis of a scheme, and delegates wore instructed to forward tabulated summaries of suggestions to the secrotary.
