Adolphus Andrews, an old age pensioner, had his pension cancelled for having made a false declaration of income lost year, whioh he stated was under £32, whereas he earned over £SB. Accused has a wife and four children depending on him. He was also ordered to come np for sentence when oallod upon. Oamaru, last night. Irving, who cut his throat yesterday, died this morning. Decoased was 76 years of age, and had worked at Corporation labor for between 25 and 30 years. Latterly ho retired on aooount of failing health. At the inquest a verdict of suicide whilst temporarily insane was reI turned.
