BAD FISH

Auckland, laßt night. Thos. Tonga and Joseph Yates, fisher
men in partnership, wore dealt with by Hr Dyers, S.M., in the Police Court to day, for being concerned in the sale of unwholeaomo fish, Tonga beiDg charged with having it in his possession for the pnrpose'ofi sale, and Yates with selling. Defendants urged that they did not know the fish were bad. The Magistrate’s reply was that Bnyone wouid. know stinking fish. He fioed defendants JEI oacb, and 12s 6d costs, or 13 days’ imprisonment.
