The Hon. J. Carroll left for Wellington by the Victoria last night. Mr W. T. Gordon, private secretary to the Hon. J. Carroll, arrived by the steamer yesterday from Auckland, and accompanied the Native Minister South. Mr Paulson, who acted as private secretary to the Hon. Mr CcrroU 'in his recent tour through the Bay of Plenty district, left for Wellington last night.
Mr A. L. D. Fraser, M.H.R,, called in at Gisborne yesterday on his way to Cambridge.
