At tho annual mooting ix'htbe Citizens’ Life Assurance Company- -tho report, which was unanimously-adopted, showed new assurances for, over . ouo million
pounds had been completed in the ordinary branch, and that tho funds at tbs end ad December 81st last amounted to £1,346,603, an incroaso for tho year of £201,346. The income increased during tho year by £31,435, amounting to £440,956. Considerable savings had boon effected in the working exponses, the industrial branch alone showing 8 per oent. for the year and 18 per cent, for tho last two years. The ordinary branch expenses rate is 13 per cent., abd the combined expense rate, ordinary and industrial, 27 per cent, on tho total income. The valuation report shows a surplus of £57,710, which wiil provide a reversionary bonus to policy holders varying from £2 15s to £1 5s per cent. The retiring directors were re-elected.
