(Per Press Association.) Napier, last night. A seven-roomed building at Taradale, owned and occupied by Charles Leadbeater, was totally destroyed by fire. The flames had a good hold when discovered, and, fanned by a strong wind, soon effeoted total demolition. The parties cot-no drivers' dispute, which came before the Conciliation Board here, have been able to arrive at an agreement as follows :—Drivers in general, 48 hours, oxolusive of stable attendance 1 ; minimum wage of £2 7s for two or more horses, or £2 4s for ono horse., For retail grocers a week’s work shall be 52 hours, with a half holiday, minimum wage £2 2s ; bus and coach drivers 65 hours, with one week’s holiday on, full pay every year, minimum wage £2 7s-6d ; bakers’ drivers 54 hours, minimum wage—single men £2, married <£2 2s ; grooms and livery stables workers I 75 hours at £2 2s, no overtime for holi- I days, but*a weok on full pay each year.
