A POPULAR WEDDING.

GAUDIN—KRONFELD,

[(Special to .Gisborne -Times.) Auckland, last night. St. Paul’s Church was to-day the scene of a fashionable wedding, when Miss Jenny Lotomua Kronfeld, eldest daughter of Mr Gustav Kronfeld, the well-known Island merchant, was married to Mr Walter J. P. Gaudin, one of the proprietors of the Gisborne Times. Both families being so well known in the city, it was only natural there should be a great crowd to witness the ceremony at the pretty church, which was beautifully decorated out of compliment to -Mr Gaudin, who did suoh good work in the parish as superintendent of the Sunday School and ohurchwarden. The servioe was fully ohoral. The Rev. Canon G. M. Nelson officiated. The bride and the attendant maids, the Misses J. Stevenson, L. Ehrenfried,. M. Kronfeld, and M. Sillvisra, were exquisitely gowned, and made one of the prettiest groups seen at St. Paul’s for a long time. Mr William L. Gordon, of Wellington (private secretary to the Hon. J. Carroll, Native Minister), and Mr Ernest Chrisp, of Gisborne, were the groomsmen. Tbe bridesmaids carried very lovely bouquets, and that of the bride was composed of rare orchids, the gift of old friends, Mr and Mrs Steadmen. The gifts of the bridegroom were a diamond and pearl pendant to the bride, and necklets to the bridesmaids. After the ceremony, which passed off very happily, Mr and Mrs Kronfeld held a reception at the Masonic Hall, and, large as the building is, it was taxed to accommodate the numerous guests. The breakfast was a most sumptuous affair, and was sarried out on a very lavish scale-. Everything was in perfect taste, and as apparently nothing had been spared to ensure the pleasure of the guests, the reception "passed off with eelat. The health of the bride was proposed by Canon Nelson, who referred in oulogistic terms to both the young people, and it was happily responded to by Mr Gaudin. Other usual toasts were honored. Thejjfestivities were continued in the evening. There was a dazzling array of presents, which oame from all parts. ~ They are exceedingly Handsome and costly, and are said to be the best saen in Auckland. LIST OR- PRESENTS,
