RAM FAIR.

[(Eec Press Association.) Timaru, last night

The annual ram fair, under the auspices of the A. and P. Association, was held today. The entries were smaller than last year, many of the surplus rama having been sold for the North Island, and as so many of the farmers are busy harvesting the attendance also was smaller. The highest price paid was eight guineas for a 4 tooth stud English Leicester, sold for E. Kell and to J. Holland. Border and English Leioesters sold prettly freely at 3£ to 5 gns, and a few making 6 and 7gns. Shropshire were not in demand. A few of Withell's Corriedales sold at 3gns.
