At subsequent sales 4421 sheep were catalogued.' The sheep all round were in good condition, and with a few exceptions a veiy well-bred collection. English Leisestors met a moderate demand, and tha prices were obviously disappointing to some of the breeders, as j
several large lines were withdrawn at auction, though some of these subsequently found buyers. Prices ranged from 2£gs to sgs, a few single sheep selling at up to lSgs. Shropßhiros were a ratber mixed assortment. All good sheep sold fairly | well, but inferior lots were neglected, j Prices varied from 2£gs to 3Jgs, with a
few single sheep to 7gs. Southdowns were well competed for, and sold from 3Jgs t 0 9£ga. Lincolns sold at from 2gs to 4gs, a few single ones fetching 4igs, sgs, and 6gs. I Of Romney Marsh a few only were sold°at from 6gs to lOgs. Border Leicostera sold I well at from 4gs to 12gs. Corriedoles brought from 3gs to. 4£gs, one two-ebear I runoiDg up to 12gs. - j
