Natives from all parts of the distriat ’ have been visiting Wai-ihi this week, the occasion being a tangi over the remains of Honaua Maiobo, a raogatira of noble blood, and uncle of Mahuta. There were two other corpses in the settlement—that of a native from Onehunga, and that of a ,
little boy who met his death by falling into a well at Wai-ibi. The triple interment took place on Wednesday.
