RETIREMENT OF UK WINDHAM
By Telegraph—Press Association— Oooyrigb .TVosivect 10.45 p.tn.i March 7. London, Maroh 7. In ths House of Commons, Mr Bsifour regcetfally announced Mr Wyndham’s resignation partly on tho ground of health, but chiefly on the grounds of Mr Wyudijam’s belief that the rocont controversy greatly impaired, if hot wholly destroyed, tho value of his work. He hoped Mr Wyndham would-aoon be sufficiently recovered to make a statement. ' The announcement was reoeived in Belfast with satisfaction. .-In TJnienist circles the decision is declared to be wise, though it fs admitted that Mr Wyndham gave the best of Laud Acts. ' Amoogst Unionists in London it is believed the retirement will strengthen -the Government, the majority of reoeut division lists showing that dofec tions ware due to the Irish policy. ,
