Nothing further has been heard of the matter, and accordingly on Saturday the Mayor telegraphed to Mr Seddon at Auckland, reminding him of his promise. The following reply was received : “We have not been able to deal definitely with tbo Exhibition matter, and are now awaiting information from outside the colony.” The Premier added that he hoped to be able to give full particulars within a fort night.
