PUMPING THE MINES.
(Per Press Association.) Thames, last night. The Government pumping plant, taken over for a three-months’ experimental ruD by the Drainage Board prior to permanent arrangemeuis being effected, is running smoothly. Tho huge plant is in splendid condition, and oupable of draining the deep levels of the Thames 2000 feet.
