{Par Press Association.) Auckland last night. The proposed shipment of-apples to England under Government guarantee of Id per lb net will probably take place next month by the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Bakaia from Auckland Tho Auckland arrangements are in the hands of the pomologist, who anticipates j that possibly half a chamber load of apples may be collected in the North, leaving the rest of the chamber to be filled by I Southern growers. It is not yet certain if the vessel will call 3t Lyttelton, where the Southern .consignment is to be collected, and until that is known the arrangements cannot he regarded as definitely settled.
