J. LICENSING CASES,
<Pcn Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. At the Police Court to-day there were two oharges against two persons of being found on licensed premises daring such time as they were required to be olosed. The defence was that defendant, who is a barman in another hotel, had been sent for to visit an acquaintance who had been hurt. A fine of 20s, with 7s costs, was iofiicted. In the second oase the excuse was that defendant bad gone to the hotel to meet a friend to arrange for a drive. In this ease one defendant was also employed in another hotel. OBSCENE LANGUAGE. John Willis, a married man with three ohildreD, was scnt6noed to six months’ imprisonment for using obscene language to a tramway conductor. I SLY GBOG CASE.
