TO-DAY’S LAND SALE.
One of the most important land sales held in the district for some time will be hold in His Majesty’s Theatre this morning, when Messrs Dalgoty and Co., inC atracted by the Bast Coast Native Trust Lands Board,'will sell a large numbor of freehold and leasehold lands. The first ■; property to bo offered will bo the Pakowhai ■ estate, which will be offered in one lot, and ‘ . if unsold will then be submitted in blooks ranging from 300 acres to 1600 acres. This property is one of the best known in Poverty Bay, and shoald command keen * competition. This will be'.followod by the Mangaheia leaseholds, which will be offered for lease for a term of 21 years, with a ; 'right of renewal for a farther 21 years. This estate is divided into areas of 50 to 860 acres of rich alluvial flats and hill country, with sufficient flat land for working, from 500 to 1300 acros. A suburban section, consisting of 17 aores, off Lytton road, will next be offered, and will be followed by 182 acros at Matawhero, subdivided into convenient areas. The Mangatu and Motu freeholds, comprising in all 42,000 aores of standing bush, will then be submitted, and should evoke spirited bidding from thoso requiring this class of property. Mabia lands, ■ consisting of the WhaDgawebi, Moutera and Tawapata leaseholds, will conclude ' the., catalogue. The reserves are exceedingly low, and all ihe lots should be quitted.;'
