I The evening paper says, referring to the I tramway :—“ Hurry and bustle of the I tramway traffic as at present is so I getting on the nerves of the travelling I public, other than athletes, that many I people are now coming tb regard the I tramway with its hustling and bumping I I accompaniments, as an unpleasant necesI sity, when it might be made an agreeable j I rest. Aec.derated speed is said to be I I necessary because of the shortage of cars, I but it is a question whether tho publio I would not be better satisfied for the time j I being with a more limited service or less I discomfort. At present miner hurts are I common, and the strain of the stuff is ex- j passive, aud the rolling stock must be sub- j ject to extraordinary wear and tear.
