(Per Press Association!) Wellington, last night. New Zealand Master Babers’ Associa
tion is reported to be in rather a helpless position just at present. When ho resigned the secretaryship of the AssociaJ tion at Ifie recent conference in Dunedin, Mr M. McCarthy retained the books and some money in hand. In reply to a demand for both, Mr McCarthy expresses his willingness to hand over the books, j but declares the Association owe him more than he has in hand, and he will retain the money.
