SHRUBB AND DUFFY IN AUSTRALIA.

The 100 yards obampioDship of Victoria was won by Mueller, of Viotoria, defeating Daffey by 6 iocbes by 10 3-10 secs. In , ~. the 11 miles invitation scratch, Shrubb was r successful, beating Blake by 40 yards in 7.3 l-10tb. Shrubb covered the mile in 4.29 45. The two mile handicap was won by Biddell, with 230 yards start, in 9.23 25, Shrubb retiring at the mile and a half. 5

Here Muller was seon to be gaining and Duffey dying away. At tbo tap 9 Muller forced himself to a finish. As Duffoy’s record stands at 9 3-5 secs it stems obvions bo has not yet struck form. His mooting with Mueller next Saturday should provo of particular interest. Shrubb has pioked up his form In remarkable fashion. Ho covered his half mil's in 2.5.
