I (Per Press Association.) ' KeeftOD, yesterday. The Progreso Mines, New Zealand, Ltd., report operations for the month of January, 1905:—5242 tons of stone were mined and transported by aerial tramway to a 65 stamps mil), where 4632 tons were crushed, producing 1555 ozs 19 dwts 12 grs bullion valued at L 6466 12s ; 90 tons concentrates wero chlorinated yesterday for bullion valued at L 976 0a 9d ; 330 tons tailings were cyanided, yielding bullion to the value of L 906 9s 9d. The Consolidated Gold Pields, New Zealand, {Limited, Golden Ploece mine, report: —ll2O tons stone were crushed at a 20-ton stamp mill for a return of 459 ozs 18 dwts bullion valued at L 1856 19s 2d ; 18 tons of concentrates were produced; 750 tons of coarse sands cyanided, yielded bullion of the value of L 344 4s. Wealth of Nations mine.—9 tons of concentrates were produced, 720 tons of coarse sands were cyanided, the latter yielding bullion to the value of L 403 13s 2d. At the Energetic mine the main shaft has been put down a further distance of 35 feet, making a total distance of 125 feet by contractors. The total depth of the shaft is 1494 feet in all.
