ROWING.
GISBORNE ROWING CLUB
The fourth host for the Schumacher Cup, between Bayly and Williams, was rowed last evening. A very even start saw Bayly take the water first, and after a dozen lengths, gain a slight advantage, which he maintained to the footbridge. Williams then moved forward and a good race ensued, but Bayly managed to hold his lead and landed .his crew a winner by about three-quarters of a length. The fifth heat was rowed between Donkin and Adair. From a good start the veteran forged ahead, and though Adair spurted several times ho was unable to make any impression, and Donkin won easily. The final will be rowed this evening between Donkin and Bayly, and a good race is esgeeted,
