The house was insured for S4OO, aw'd tho furniture for £300,. the latter in the Northern, SLY-GROG, ' DUNEDIN, last night. On Saturday evening Sergt. Ghesing, with a party of constable®! raided G. A. Neil’s Provincial Motel at Port Chalmers, and found live dozen bottles of beer, two bottles, of champagne, and ten gallons of beer, a teg almost empty, and half a dozen empty whisky, bottles. The liquor found was removed to the Police Station, and a prosecution for, slygrog selling will follow, in ’due course.THE LAND COMMISSION.
