The woathor was fine For the second day of the Auckland-Australian cricket match, and tho attondauoe numbered oloso on 10,000 people. Tho wiolcot was fair, and showed very little sign of wear. Australia opnnod with Duff and MoLood. The feature of tho aftornoqn’s play was the fine innings played by Trampor. Ho bit freoly all round the wicket, and made some good carpet drives. McLood was hatting for two hours and forty minutos. Duff's 49 included some magnifioent late outs. Kelly oponed his shouldors and hit hard for his contribution. Ho hit two fivcp. Tho Auckland howling waß very good, and the fielding fair. The ecores were :
