FRUIT CANNING.

(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. The official opening of the fruit cannery at Teviot is to take place on tho 16th, and tho fruit is to be received on the Monday. Mr Jacques, Government expert, who was present at a meeting of tho Company lastnight, said he had not seen in the colony anything to compare with the fruit of the district.
