RAM FAIR.
(Per Press ’Association.) Palmerston North, last night. The Mauawatu Ram Fair was concluded to-day, when a iarge number of .Lincolns and Romneys were offered and found ready sales. The prices for both breeds went up to nearly double the amount realised at last year’s fair. Floek Lincolns that averaged 2£ guineas last year, sold numerously to-day at 5 guineas, and readily up to 63 guineas. Similar advances were met with in Romneys, the majority of the entries selling freely at to 4J I guineas. The highest price was 6 -$ I guineas. Stud Lincolns also realised 11J I and 17J- guineas, whilst lSi guineas was I paid for stud Romneys: A prize winning I ram of the last named breed changed I hands at 45 guineas, The demand for I heavy woofied sheep is considered exoep- I tional.
