I (Per Press Association.) I Wellington, last Dight. It is understood that Mr Gardner, Go | vernment valuer at Palmerston North, has been offered the position of Deputy Valuer General. It has been definitely decided that Mr Goring Thomas, Deputy Registnr of the Supreme Court at Auckland, is to succeed Mr H. E. Brewer as registrar of tho court ‘ in that oily.
