A meeting of the Co-operative Building Society was hold last night. There was a large attendance, with Mr L. T. Symes presiding. Tho successful shareholders for the £3OO, ballotted for in No. 1 issue, were Mr W. L. File (2 shares) and Miss R. N. Ford (1 share), and in No. 2 the £SOO was drawn by Mr Alfred Ward. Lomax proved too good for Witty by 34 to 29, but 'ell to Martin to the tune of 26 to 22. Martin had a seoond during the afternoon, jeating Witty by 29 to 8. Birss made no ■ace of it with C. Adair, the scores being 14 to 16. Griffiths also beat C. Adair by !5 to 21. Ambridge proved too good for Jaudin by 26 to 17, but the latter showed letter form against Morrison, whom he efeated by 28 to 21. Morrison in turn howed a reversal of form by downing ,mbridge by 29 to 25, getting the best of is opponent on the short heads. Amridge gained a second victory in his latch against Hounsell, the scores being 4to 19. The last named player also fell > Wallace by 29 to 12. Nicholas defeated [organ by 31 to 26, and Bowlands had iree meritorious wins, defeating Colley by 1 to 23, Collins by 30 to 28, and Nicholas y3l to 29. Collins finished up an exciting game against Colley with 2 points to spare, the scores being 32 to 30.
