TOURIST TRAFFIC.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. Tho Tonrist Department reports that there are more visitors in the colony at the present time than ever known beforo at this season of the year. Tho wet weather experienced in nbo early part of the spring interfered considerably with tbo traffic. DEATH OF OLD COLONIST. Captain Holt, a well-known resident o Wellington, died at BsorchaveD, Worser Bay. Deceased had been suffering from heart troublo for some considerable tiruo. He was a uativo of Lancashire, and came out to New Zealand over thirty years ago. He left a widow and family, who are now on their way to Western Australia. INFLUX OF AUSTRALIANS.
The steamer Mosraki brought 205 passengers from Sydney for Wellington this trip, included in which aro 12 foreigners, including two Chinese. OBITUARY.
Joseph Kitchen, well known in Wellington, whore ho formerly carried on extensive soap works, died yesterday at Tronthem from internal complaiuts.
