It is stated in Berlin, regarding Burns, Philp and Co.’s claim for compensation, that it is doubtful if tho agreement of 1886 applies. Tho agreement stipulated equality of Gorman and British vessels trading in the Pacific, which Germany maintains, has boon observed.
