HANDSOME RETURNS. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. Now that tho returns for tho year from the leading mines in Obinemuri county are pretty woll completed, it is interesting to note the result. The figures for the various companies are as follows : Waibi, total output to date £3,817,393, total for 1904 .£643,997 ; Talisman Consolidated, total output to date £317,786, total for 1904 £84,526; New Zealand Crown mines, total to date £582,071, total to November (December to come) £32,002; Korns.ta Reefs, total to data, £140,133, total for the yoar £34,133; Waitekauri, total to date £371,675, one crushing this year £4612. Tho total output from these fivo mines in Ohinemuri county for 1904 therefore amounts to £799,570, with returns still to come in, while the tctal output to date is £5,229,055. The manager of tho Waiutahi Goldmining Company telegraphed yesterday that he had had a fust retorting for a yield of 3210zs of retort ad gold. This would give a value of aboui £875 10s. The return is probably from gonoral ore in oourse of treatment. Nc general clean up will take place until the end of the month. The total for the yeir, inoluding these two ad ditioual returns, was £3364 5s 4d. The return of32lozs above noted is not included in the 1904 figures.
