SHIPBUILDING BEING ENCOURAGED B,Y GOVERNMENT, By Electric Telegraphs-Per Press Association —Copyright. LONDON. January 16. •The firm of Swan and Hunter, of Newcastle, with Halifax capitalists, are forming a company to establish
a shipbuilding plant at Halifax. The Dominion Government promise a subsidy of six dollars per ton on ships constructed in Canada. The City of Halifax is otiering a bonus of two hundred thousand dollars, and the Provincial Government a bonus of one hundred thousand.
