GAMBLING. IN SHARES , (Per Press Association.) (AUCKLAND, last night. There Was cjuite a panic in Waiotahe shares on the Auckland and Thames sliaremarkets to-day. In the morning there was great anxiety to sell, and shares fell to £6 ss. ■Later in the day, however, there was news that 4 cwt. of selected stone had been secured from the .breaking clown, ancl shares rose again to about £lO.

The panic was apparently due to a rumor current at the Thames, that the breaking down had shot- through into clay.
