General Nogi reports the completion of the surrender of Port Arthur, including 59 forts, 546 guns (whereof 64 are of large oalibre), 35,252 rifles, 62,670 shells, 60 torpedoes, 2,266,800 cartridges, 30,000 kilogrammes of powder, 1891 swords, four battleships (not including tho Sevastopol), two ernisors, fourteen gunboats and deI Btroyers, ten steamers, eight launches, twelve miscellaneous craft—the above destroyed or sunk, and 35 additional small steamers which require slight repairs. Reuter says that sixteen survivors of the third Japanese naval party sent to blook the mouth of Port Arthur are going to Sasebo. I Thirteen thousand wounded Russians will eventually bo brought to Japan.
