THE EXHIBITION.
VISIT OF THE PBEMIEB. (Per Press Association.) New Plymouth, last night. Tbe Premier and party arrived this I morning by tbe Hmemoa. They wore met by the Mayor and Carnival Committee representatives. Mr Seddou lunched at the Exbibition. and then viewed displays in the various bays, whioh be greatly admired, being struck by tbe size and comprehensiveness of the whole of them. Ho visited the Maori village, giving a short speech replying to the native welcome, and he received a presentation mat. After that he adjourned to the military sports, where there was a large gathering, and gave unother address. From there he drove to Fitzcoy and inspected tho school concerning repairs, i over whioh there had boon some trouble, j He promised the sum of L2OO for the work. To night tbe Premier again visited tbe Exhibition, whioh was thronged by the largest crowd of any since the opening. Maoris and fireworks formed the main I items of attraction.
