London, JaD. 11. At the tallow auctions 1035 casks were offered and 506 sola. Fine mutton at 29a 9d, medium 25s 3d, There was a good attendance and moderate animation at the Antwerp wool sales. Fino qualities, compared with November rates, were from par to 5 centimes, and crossbreds 10 centimes higher. Out of 1933 bales of La Plata wool offered 966 bales isold.

The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company has received the following oable from London : —Mutton market depressed, a further fall of a farthing in Canterbury mutton and l-8d in North Island. Quotations : Canterbury mutton, 4£d ; Napier, Wellington and North Island, 4 3 8d ; beef, hinds S Jd, fores 3d.

Hides are firm ; late rates were maintained. Supplies are small. For tallow the demand is brisk, and prioes are unchanged.
