The A. and P. Society Shaa resolved to approaeh the Government, asking them to reconsider their decision not to proceed with the erection of sterilising works at the Bluff and Auckland, as originally promised, and to ask for the 'support of other societies in the matter. Christchuroh, last night. Mary Ann Barnes, 71 years of age, died suddenly at 7.30 last night on the road to Clarkvilie, near Kaiapoi. Heart disease was the cause of death.
