Received 9.35 p.m., January 5. SYDNEY, Jan. A Reports received by the Board of Health of the outbreak of plague on the Clarence river show that tfie local doctors are convinced, that at least one is a case of true plagueThe Board torday despatched .officers to investigate. : In the meantime the local authorities are taking every precaution :to r quarantine the hospital and homes Of the patients. Besides the Plummers, who were supposed to have succumbed to ‘heat apAf>lesxy, two other recent deaths are believed to have resulted from plague.
