WHATATUTU RASES.
The Whatatutu Racing Club held a Scurry Meeting hero on Boxing Day, which turned out a groat success. The weather was all that could bo desired. Tbo results of the races were as follows : Handicap Hurdle Raoo : Maori 1, Sam 2. Station Baco : Mary 1, Poritaha 2. Scurry : Poritaha 1, Gwen 2. Whatatutu Handicap: Flirt 1, Puketapu 2. Pony Race : Lottie 1, Eoana 2. High Jump for Horses : Nigger 1, Tossy 2. Consolation Race : Royal 1, Gwen 2. 100yds. Foot Race: B. Rogers, 8 yds, 1, W. Mills, Byds, 2. The committee are to bo congratulated on the orderly manner ia which tho race meeting was conducted, and on having a fair balance leit over for next yoar. It is their intention to havo a larger meeting next year.
