THE PREMIER.
Pec Press Association. Nelson, last night. The Premier arrived here this afternoon. The Premier and tho Government h'ave received reciprocal and seasonable greetings from the King and Queen, and the Prince of Wales, the Premier of Canada, the Premier of the Commonwealth, Premiers of South Australia, New South Walts, Queensland, West Australia, Victoria, Sir W. Lyne, and Sir Jno. Forrest. Mr Seddon explains that he did not state that the salary of the general manager of the State Five Insurance Department would be £1250, and that this has been compared yuth the salary of the Bank of New Zealand auditor, which is £1250. The salary of tho fire insurance manager will be £BSO. The Premier leaves for the West Coast at 4 o'clock iq the morning,
