CHIEF POST OFFICE, GISBORNE
Friday, the 25th December, and Ist 'January will be observed as close holidays. All mails for despatch during those days will bo made up at 7.30 p.m. on tho ovening preced--skg. , On Saturday, the 36th inst. (Boxing Bay), the Office will be open in all bmnehes except Money Order and Savings Bank, from 9 to 10 a.m., and mails w 11 be made up as usual until 8 a.m.
On Boxing Bay letter-carriers will make .one complete delivery, commencing at 8 a.m. On Thursday preceding, the Holidays! - the wicket in Box Lobby will ■be open from 7 to 8 p.m. lor delivery of letters only. TELEGRAPH OFFICE.
On Christmas Day,- this Office will he open from 9.31) to 10 a.m., ; and from 5 to 5.30 p.m. On Boxing Day and Hew Year’s Day, the hours will be from 9 a.m. to -1 p.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight. .Telegrams to he handed in at delivery wicket in Private Box lobby.
TELEPHONE EXCHANGE. Will be open on Christmas Day from 9to .10 a.m- On Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, the usual hours of attendance will be observed. Country Offices in Gisborne district —On Christmas and New Year’s days these Offices will observe a close holiday ; but on Boxing Day they will he open in all branches, except Money Order and Savings’ Bank, from 0 to 10 a.m. W. 11.
