Best wethers sold at 17s 6d, extra 18s 9d, good 16s 6d to 17s: best, ewes 16s 6d; best bullocks £lO to £lO 10s, good £9 ; best cows £7, extra £B, good £6 10s ; best beef 23s 6d to 245. Melbourne, Dec. 17.
At the hides auction the prices showed no alteration, the demand was brisk, and supplies small. Tallow dull, values unchanged.
Per Press Association] NAPIER, last night. The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company cable: Frozen meat market, prices uuchanged.
Messrs Dalgety and Co. received the following London cablegram yesterddy : “Tallow: Prices, in general arc unchanged, and the next public sale of tallow will be held on 6th January,”
